At this point the boat sits well on the keel rollers. Install The Guide Poles Install the guide poles at the rear of the trailer and adjust them in until they touch the rub rail.
Then adjust all in-between rollers to the string.
How to adjust boat trailer rollers. Make sure you check both sides of the roller arm to ensure that both rollers are touching evenly on both sides. Back off the keel rollers approximately 14 to 12 a turn on the height bolts. Drive your trailer up the road or around the car park to settle the boat down onto the trailer.
Step 1 - Evaluate. Keep a 4-foot spirit level above the boats casement where the outboard motor is placed. With the help of two assistants hold the boat steadily balancing on its keel.
Let the helpers watch the level during adjustment and inform you if the boat begins to lean onto one side of the trailer. Take the boat off the old then sit next to newuse a level and a tape to measure heights first off your transom rollers then to your centres then put boat on central and adjust sides up to height then bow roller and winch height to suit the boat sitting properly on rollersif you start with bow you may have it too low or high then rest wont sit rightrick. When you set up your boat on your trailer it will need to be adjusted with a nose up or keel up angle ie.
The boats keel needs to be set higher at the front than at the rear. This will allow the hull to roll off your trailer quickly and easily. Then adjust all in-between rollers to the string.
Any rollers forward of this point have to be set by trial and error by rolling the boat back and forth on the trailer until correct. Then winch the boat up on the trailer with the bunks set so they DONT touch the hull letting it rock side to side a little. In order to install the CE Smith Keel Roller for Boat Trailers part CE29505 on a trailer you will first need the Roller Shaft with Pal Nuts for Boat Trailer Rollers part CE10727A.
Then all you need is a set of mounting brackets such as the CE Smith Universal-Fit Split Panel Brackets part CE10500G and u-bolts. Yes if you have the option I would lower some of the rollers. If you can do this near a ramp that would be a good idea too.
The rollers may be set a specific way so that while retrieving the bottom of the boat does not hit parts of the trailer. So I would lower a little bit launch and retrieve then lower a bit more launch and retrieve. Adjust the winch base so the bow roller is on top of the bow eye and the winch strap or cable is horizontal or parallel with the trailer frame.

Once you are happy that your boats keel is resting on your boat trailers keel rollers it is time to make the adjustments to your boat trailer bunk brackets and hardware. With your boat resting on your keel rollers you should be able to make changes to your boat trailer bunks without removing the boat from your trailer. This trailer has 32 rollers. The kit purchased included the 32 ro. If the boat sticks out beyond the bunksrollers then move the rear pivot adjustment to the B-position.
Once the rear pivot horizontal adjustment has been set determine if the vertical adjustment should be in the 1 or 2 hole position. Check the fender and crossmember clearance - these should be no less than 34. Inspect the boats keel–the lowest part of the bottom–to verify that the keel is resting on the line of rollers in the center of the trailer.
